In Our Minds

I Love My Job

Back in 2010 when I started working in Radiation Oncology, I knew that I was getting into a field that I loved and that I was making a difference in people's lives. However, little did I know, this career would shape me to be the person that I am today. Throughout my career, I have seen some crazy sh*t but I have also seen some amazing events and people. I have met so many resilient individuals who beat the odds given by their doctors as well as seeing their friends and family fighting with them every step of the way. I truly saw the power of love and faith in so many instances that it began to rub off on me. I went from being a young individual who was young and immature to being an adult who now possesses important life values that wasn’t there in my youth. I owe it all to a career that allowed me to be an integral part of someone’s life saving journey.

Now, I am on a mission to not only make a difference in the workplace but outside of it as well. Krafted Cut will allow me to give back to the pediatric patients who need to see the bright moments in life that has been missing for them throughout their young age. I can’t describe the feeling you get when you see a pediatric cancer patient truly smile but it is an incredible moment. A simple smile can definitely change a person’s perspective in life, which is why I am making an effort to bring more smiles in this world for those who need it the most. Mental well-being is so important in today’s society that we all need to make a conscious effort to uplift others.

I don’t know if other healthcare professionals feel the same way that I do about their careers, but I do know that as we continue to send positive messages throughout the world, it will be a much better place to live in.
